Changing to the better

I'm convinced humanity permanently improves the living condition.

We all are just individual temporal parts of humanity. Humanity might succeed to be eternal, as individual, however we are not.

There are organizations that keep track of our (humanity) progress. Such as https://www.humanprogress.org; https://www.lomborg.com and YouTuber Cleo Abram.

We are living in a transition time. This makes it hard to track what really is going on. I have a view on the big picture I want to share with you.

Energy

We have been lucky to discover coal; oil and gas. And we found ways to utilize it. But we are in or near to peak-oil.

We have to transit to other energy sources or start using far less energy.

Sourcing

I think, that we have no other option than indirect (solar, wind, earth-heat) and direct nuclear energy in combination with better utilization. Because energy demand and harvesting are mostly not in sync from a time perspective, we also need better storage solutions.

Solar and wind are progressing and are not on their peak yet. But direct nuclear is not progressing fast enough, because we do not invest enough into it.

We do put a lot of money in fusion reaction solutions. It looks it will take maybe another 100 years to get it going, however. In the meanwhile, we need a solution to bridge the gap. This needs to be a solution what can burn the old nuclear waste.

Therefor, we need more effort from material science to make Thorium molten salt working.

Utilization

The west, the richest, still use energy as if it is available in abundance. We have to engineer better ways to utilize it. Better being function focused and easy to use. This is not helped by the way our current money system works. Our money system pushes in the opposite direction. Therefor, it is obvious that we will invent new ways for value exchange in the near future. More in sync with less and better. Instead of more with more waste.

Government Public Services

We (as humanity) have been struggling with organizing public services ever since we became farmers and started building cities. It is clear we can only survive comfortably within the context of public services. I have researched what public services there are and what are the main categories. The main categories are security, network building and maintenance, well-being (also when temporary or permanent disabled). These I have found to be the "core business" of government.

All other government involvement is a way for interest groups to steal from the public.

We will see a growing awareness by the public about the government as a network of theft from the public. This will force governments to reorganize with a focus on the core business.

In fact, this is one of the main crises going on in early 2000. I would call it the trust in government crisis.

Nations at war should be something of the past. It does not serve humanity, only a network of theft.

But also in this field we will  find new ways. And as is always, the path to improvement goes via crises and wars.

Let's start with what we as an individual can do: Forgetting the feudal word "government" and call it what it should be, "public services".

Left versus right as political classification is obsolete

The obsolete model What Wikipedia says about it. On this type of political spectrum , left-wing politics and right-wing politics are often presented as opposed, although a particular individual or group may take a left-wing stance on one matter and a right-wing stance on another; and some stances may overlap and be considered either left-wing or right-wing depending on the ideology. In France, where the terms originated, the left has been called "the party of movement" or liberal , and the right "the party of order" or conservative . The three class view If we look to the history of politics, we can clearly recognize another aspect of dominant division that is actual more critical to type political movements, namely nation central dominance (controlled) versus "Laissez Faire" ( let it be) . Communists and (National) Socialists are clear historic examples of controlled politics. And nowadays, all technocrat politics have a tendency to soft or hard cro

The battle of the oceans

We often talk about 'the west' but there is more to it, I think. And this (more) has major implications on geopolitics. We should talk about the (autocratic) land people culture versus the (free) sea people culture. Is it the war for Ukraine and the potential war for Taiwan, or is there a deeper war going on? I think the latter. Let me explain. I see the world moving forward from a (land) nations dominated organization into a free space network organization. I can see a history of wars between freedom and serfdom. The most brutal ones have been the wars of the west and Japan against China. Think about the brutal Opium wars and the Second Sino Japanese War . And the permanent battle with sea powers surrounding it from the Russian Empire in all its forms of appearance (Communistic or not) till today. We live in a time when these wars culminate into global conflicts and new wars. Probably and hopefully the final wars. Beijing, Moscow, Vienna, and Paris have one thing in common, t
