The elites are made clueless by a learned disease. A nurtured disease. Antonio Gramsci , for me, he is, together with the postmodernist (e.i. philosophical postmodernism) Jacques Derrida , one of the big forces who have deliberately derailed the permanent process of the determination of the real meaning of words. With the permanent uncertainty about meaning, they are heavenly influenced university education toward a meaningless power game of thought schools. The goal of Gramsci was to undermine society so that the ‘end game’ before the real communist society could be established (as described by Marx) would happen sooner. What he, I think, really undermined with it, was the trust of the public in the new elite created this way.
